Purdue reference model

Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture (PERA) model was proposed by Theodore J Williams and members of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Alliance of Industry Purdue University in the 1990s. The model was adopted by ISA-99 standard (now 1SA/IEC 62443) and other industrial safety standards, and was used as a key concept for network segmentation of industrial control system. Purdue Reference Model is also referred to as "Purdue Model" in the industry of industrial control systems.
